Graduate Engineer Trainee (Singapore)
In Onwards Media Group, we always strive to nurture future leaders. We are now offering an opportunity for graduates with computer science or engineering background to join our young and talented software engineering team with mentorship from industry experts and visionaries, and the first step to an exciting career in one of the most promising industries.
During the 2-year programme, you will be exposed to multiple facets of modern technologies including:
- Multimedia technologies including video streaming, encoding and other advanced media processing techniques
- Mobile and web app development
- Big data analytics, deep learning and other cognitive algorithms
- DevOps, clustering and cloud technologies
Programme structure:
- 1-month training in engineering concepts, discipline and modern software development methodology and process
- Rotation between our engineering teams with specific in-depth training and assignments, 3 to 6 months each
- Join one of the project teams for complete solution development
We are looking for university or polytechnic graduates in the year 2016 or 2017, in Computer Science, Information Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related disciplines.
Upon successful completion of the programme, you will be given a permanent role in one of our engineering teams where you can further develop your expertise in.

Field Application Engineer
Responsibility:
- Investigate root cause of production incidence reported, by tracing into client application and OMG software platform;
- Follow incident management process to communicate with clients and internal team members on issue investigation progress and resolutions;
- Participate in client solution development and testing;
- Work closely with software development and project management teams to understanding in details the client requirements and solutions;
- Report directly to Head of Support.
Requirements:
- Degree holder in computer science or related discipline;
- Experience in software development projects, in full time work or project during university;
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in programming and at least one scripting language;
- Knowledge in computer networking and standard internet protocols;
- Experience in Windows and Linux environments;
- Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills;
- Good communications skills;
- Good verbal and written English;
- Verbal and spoken Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) nice to have.
OMG will provide training for video streaming, related technologies and our core products.

Senior / Software Engineer
Job Description:
In order to accelerate our Research & Development efforts in our Hong Kong office, we are looking for young talents with fresh ideas and passion for video technology and entertainment to join our diverse team. The focus will be on enhancing our core product, working with partners in new areas such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Robotics, Big Data, Cloud technologies, video technologies and other client applications.
Job Responsibility:
- Implement high performance large scale video platform that utilizes state-of-the-art technologies.
- Research new technologies and software systems.
- Work closely with business development and product team on product roadmap planning.
- Work closely with Integration and front-end team on architecture, development and product delivery.
- Collaborate with the Technical Support team to address customer issues.
Job Requirements:
- University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related disciplines

Sales Director
Job Description:
Onwards Media Group is looking for a Sales Director to help sell our video software solutions and grow our new U.S. operation. You will be responsible for delivering on revenue targets and growing a Sales team. Work with a growing and nimble organization, and help shape the strategy of how we reach the U.S. market!
Job Responsibility:
- Lead the U.S. Sales team, including presales support (Sales Engineers, Project Managers, etc.)
- Manage the entire sales process, from prospecting and forecasting opportunities, closing business, and all the way to account management and expansion
- Work with Marketing team on lead generation and targeted campaigns
- Meet and exceed revenue targets each quarter
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 6+ years related experience in a senior sales role, preferably in the video software space or a related field
- Bring on-board rich network of video software related partners and prospects
- Experience in enterprise or broadcast sales
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically around client interaction skills
- Strong relationship building skills, existing industry relationships a plus

Presales Solutions Consultant
Job Description:
Set the first impression as our PreSales Solution Consultant! This exciting role is critical in communicating product functionality to clients through presentations and demonstrations through marketing and sales execution for all ONWARDS product solutions automation platforms.
Job Responsibility:
- Pre-Sales Support – Coordinate technical and other resources as appropriate to create and nurture deals through sales process and assist in Quote, Proposal, RFP response and other documentation requirements
- Support sales calls, demonstrate the product to new leads
- Be an adept communicator and proven listener to assist in initial discovery in a consultative sales environment to help the ONWARDS Technical & Creative staff to understand prospect needs
- Product Development Liaison – Work with Solutions Engineering in creating demos of new features, and training sales and marketing on new features and value proposition to customers
- Provide input to the product team about what customers and prospects are saying
- Marketing Support – Maintain demo kit inventory for all product lines, ensuring that all units work without fail, every single time. The shipping, tracking and return of loaner demo unit inventory including the testing of units upon return
- Maintain up-to-date library of ONWARDS Solutions and all feature/function for use by sales and marketing
- Attend tradeshows and be responsible for the setup and breakdown of booth materials.
- Be extremely organized and detail oriented
- Ability to travel both in the USA & to Asia up to 40%
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, preferably in an IT related field
- Possess excellent communication and presentation skills
- 3-5+ years experience in a streaming video software environment
- Proven track record of success in sales support capacity over a sustained period
- Solid understanding of OTT, Streaming Video market place and their solutions
Technical Requirements:
- Specific video related experience
- Video Streaming – protocols RTMP, RTSP, HLS
- Encoding – offline and live, such as H264, H265, mp4, FLV, MOV,…
- CDN and networking
- Enterprise systems and integrations using RESTful APIs
